Dale Weaver, P.L.S. joins Chastain

Chastain is pleased to announce Dale V. Weaver, P.L.S. has joined our firm as Project Land Surveyor in our Chicago office. Mr. Weaver has an extensive background with over 30 years of experience as a Professional Land Surveyor. The majoirity of his career has been based in Cook County Illinois.
Mr. Weaver will continue his professional land surveying practice concentrating in ALTA / ACSM Land Title Surveys, Air Rights Development, Architectural / Engineering Desing Surveys, Right of Way Acquisitions, Municipal Annexations, New Residential and Commercial Subdivisions and Condominiums.

Solidarity Drive Underpass
Chastain has begun Phase III construction engineering services for Solidarity Drive Underpass and Museum Campus Circle Drive in Chicago, Illinois. The underpass, consisting of two bridges, will provide uninterrupted access for the Lakefront Trail users, improve safety and access, and help ease congestion in the area. The project also includes reconstruction of Museum Campus Circle Drive, monument relocation, new "gateway" signing for the Adler Planetarium, extensive underground utility relocation, and reconstruction of the Burnham Park Yacht Club Parking entrance.
This $13 million project is expected to be completed in early 2009.

Bridge inspection at Little Calumet River
Chastain is preparing documents for multiple construction contracts documents for the resurfacing, roadway repairs, and repairs of thirteen structures on the Bishop Ford Expressway (I-94) from Martin Luther King Dr to US 6 (159th St). The Bishop Ford has an Average Daily Traffic (ADT) of 157,000 vehicles which presents many challenges for the construction staging, which we are also responsible for developing.
The 9.5 mile improvement is estimated to cost $19,800,000.
