IL 108 over Hodges Creek Bridge

This project involves Phase II design engineering for the replacement of an existing eleven-span 561 foot PPC deck beam structure. The proposed structure consists of a two-unit 574 foot steel plate girder structure on stub abutments and solid wall piers. Unit 1 is a 258 foot three-span consisting of an eight inch concrete deck on 42 inch web plate girders. The structure is located in a Seismic Zone Two and is considered irregular due to being a mult-unit structure, therefore a seismic multi-modal analysis was completed.
