Thornhill Drive Bridge

The City of Danville, Illinois requested Chastain to perform construction engineering services on the demolition of the existing wood truss structure and the preparation of a new three-sided, pre-cast concrete bridge along a new alignment on Thornhill Drive.
The $308 thousand construction project included:
- Topographic survey, feasibility and preparation of contract plans and specifications.
- Construction of a new bridge along a new alignment on Thornhill Drive.
- Type, size, location and roadway alignment studies need to be performed.
- Demolition of existing wood truss structure and preparation of new three-sided pre-cast concrete structure.
- Preparation of right-of-way documents and hydraulic modeling.
- Coordination with the City of Danville, regulated utility companies and adjacent landowners.
- Project required Illinois Department of Water Resources and Section 404 permits.
