Wheeler Road over Otter Creek Bridge

Chastain provided Phase II design and Phase III construction engineering services for the replacement of a 60 year old, three-span, cast-in-place concrete structure. The new structure is a twin, three-sided box structure on pile supported footings with pre-cast wing walls.
The $350 thousand construction project included:
- Hydraulic modeling of the structure and water course using HEC-RAS, and prepared Hydraulic Report.
- Design of roadside ditch.
- Preparation of construction plans, specifications, quantities and cost estimates.
- Construction observation
- This project was federally financed using Service Transportation Program (STP) funds.
